“I met Marilu as part of a summer research program (i3: iSchool Inclusion Institute). During this time, I was struggling in getting more financial aid whether it be through grants or school scholarships. I mentioned to Marilu this sentiment, and she shared that she could help me in looking for more outside scholarships as well as how to look for possible school scholarships. I was extremely grateful because I had no idea where to start nor how it was possible to find outside scholarships. The only types of outside scholarships I found were bigger and well-known.
